Women-led businesses took center stage as the WomenBizPH Trade Fair opened at SM Lanang Premier from March 12–14, celebrating the creativity, resilience, and growing impact of Filipina micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Organized by WomenBizPH in partnership with SM Supermalls, the three-day event brought together inspiring women entrepreneurs showcasing a vibrant mix of proudly local products—from artisanal pastries and handcrafted accessories to healthy snacks, woven apparel, delicacies, and wellness items.
More than just a marketplace, the trade fair highlighted the powerful stories behind each brand—demonstrating how women continue to transform passion into purpose and innovation into sustainable livelihoods.
From handcrafted fashion pieces to artisanal food products, women-led MSMEs presented a diverse array of Filipino creations. Sustainable fashion also took the spotlight, with brands showcasing handcrafted apparel that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design.
Inspiring Stories Behind Women-Led MSMEs
Behind every product is a story of determination, innovation, and purpose. Across the country, women entrepreneurs are turning challenges into opportunities—building businesses that uplift communities while preserving Filipino heritage.
Empowering Artisans Through Creativity
Sassy’s Creation Enterprise embodies sustainable and timeless fashion, merging traditional Philippine weaving techniques with contemporary design. Using upcycled fabrics and locally sourced weaves, the brand creates ethically crafted pieces for every body.
Beyond design, the brand empowers women artisans—including home-based mothers and women from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Antipolo—by providing meaningful livelihood opportunities. For its founder, entrepreneurship goes beyond profit; it is about uplifting communities and preserving Filipino craftsmanship.
Carrying Forward a Legacy
For Cynthia M. Eusebio of Magpoc’s Pastry Products Manufacturing in Bataan, entrepreneurship is rooted in family heritage. As a third-generation leader, she continues to evolve the brand while preserving its traditional recipes.
“Magpoc’s isn’t just a label—it’s a legacy of providing for our community,” she shared.
From Survival to Strength
Cebu-based entrepreneur Cuevas Planas, founder of Kirby’s Chicharon, built her business from humble beginnings. What started as small-scale selling became a source of hope and resilience.
“That small income gave me the courage to rebuild my life and prove that even from nothing, you can rise again,” she said.
Turning Passion into Healthy Innovation
Flaviano’s Health Food Products, based in Laguna, was born from a passion for creating healthier food options. Despite challenges, the brand continues to innovate and expand.
“Every step forward brings us closer to success,” the entrepreneur shared.
A Launchpad for Future Filipino Brands
Through initiatives like the WomenBizPH Trade Fair, SM Supermalls continues to provide a platform where MSMEs can grow, gain visibility, and reach new markets.
“At SM Supermalls, we see MSMEs not just as exhibitors but as future brands in the making,” said Joaquin San Agustin, Executive Vice President for Marketing. “By creating accessible spaces for entrepreneurs, we help nurture the next generation of Filipino brands.”
For many participants, showcasing their products in SM malls marks a major milestone—opening doors to new opportunities, partnerships, and customers.
Celebrating Women Entrepreneurs
This Women’s Month, SM Supermalls invites shoppers to discover and support the inspiring women behind these brands.
Because when women entrepreneurs rise, they don’t just grow businesses—they uplift families, empower communities, and inspire future generations.
