Affordable Prime Steaks at Mati’s Meat and Bread

If you like steak but you’re in a tight budget, no need to fret as Mati’s Meat and Bread offers the best value for Steaks at affordable prices.  It is owned by Paul and Caron Macasaet and named after their son Mateo or "Mati" to everyone. The restaurant is also a subsidiary of Melo's Steakhouse who pioneered Certified Angus Beef in the Philippines.

It was opened last October 2014, and located at the new extension of Festival Mall which has a stunning view of River Park. The restaurant is walls are made of clear glass giving it’s diners a view of lush green landscaping. Mati's is also set to open its branch in Bonifacio Global City before the end of 2015.

Catering towards yuppies, millennials and families, Mati’s Meat and Bread is a perfect place to kick back and relax with a nice meal of premium dishes and steaks at affordable prices.

Steaks are the specialty of Mati’s Meat and Bread. They have different kinds of steaks that varies from burgers to Salpicao. There is a Certified Angus Ribeye steak that can be “cooked table side” so you can control the doneness of it or the USDA Steak which is the best seller.

Aside from the Steak, another favorite is the Balut Aligue. The balut or developing duck embryo is deshelled and served in buttery aligue sauce served on a hot pan.

I was lucky to be invited and tastes their unique food.

Creamy Spinach Dip - with toasted bread they personally baked and personalized spinach dip. I can taste the perfect balance of spinach and cream and the crunchiness of the bread. A truly perfect combination to start your day! Price P280.00 and for sharing.

Truffled Bone Marrow - this is truly unique dish. While eating, I was imagining eating a hot Bulalo soup dipping it with a bread. What a fantastic idea and presentation! This will cost you P385.00. Not bad right? A good starter dish to grab while talking with your friends and family.

Papa's Spicy Cripsy Wing - I hate spicy food especially if its 'hot'. But surprisingly I loved this spicy wings. You could really fell the sweetness and hotness of wings and you will end up eating some more.  The yogurt dip truly help too. Price is P200.00.

Balut Aligue - Mati's is the only restaurant that bravely develop this kind of dish. This is truly a "Putok Batok" dish. A local Filipino favorite combined together. My first reaction when I saw this is "OMG, what will it taste like?" But when I finally tasted, well it's really awesome. The balut compliments perfectly with alige. But for the people with hypertension better not to eat. You know what I mean... It's cholesterol overload! The price for this plate is P195.00

Mati's Meat and Bread, serves a lot of dishes on that day. Like Oyster Rockefeller (P450), Salpicao Pizza (P385), Bia's Four Cheese (P365),
Tali's Gamberetti (P350), Camille's Spinach & Arugula Bean Salad (P195), Vince's Chicken & Arugula Salad (P225), Crispy Pork Belly with Kimchi & Nori Cream Cheese Spread (P335),
Chorizo with Potato Hash & Cream Cheese (P275), Seafood Pasta (P340), Truffle Pasta (P398), USDA Salpicao Rice (P425). Imagine how I was able to finish this meal?

But hey, its not the end yet! They also surprise us by serving 300g Certified Angus Ribeye (P1,400), Choco Fudge (P220) and Eclair Cake (P250) for desserts.

This certified Angus Ribeye was cooked in our table. You could smell the beef aroma and taste the beef freshness. This is truly a wonderful experience for me and I will definitely be back and bring my kids!
