UP Art Raffle

The University of the Philippines College of Dentistry (UPCD) Centennial Committee and St. Theresa’s College High School Class of ’78 Foundation will hold an art raffle billed “Twin Centennial Celebration of Art” at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Valle Verde I Clubhouse, Suha Street, Barangay Ugong, Pasig City.

This was announced by Dr. Jocelyn "Joji" Tan, president of the UP Dental Alumni Association Inc. (UPDAA) and general chair of the UP Dentistry Centennial Celebration. The event is one of the many activities lined up by UPCD and St. Theresa’s College that will both be celebrating their 100th-year anniversary in February 2015. Proceeds of the raffle will be used to support advocacy programs and charity projects.

Dr. Alan C. Roa of Roa Dental Clinic in Quezon City and editor-in-chief of The Dental Trading Post, said fine artworks from known Filipino artists such as Lydia Velasco, Cris Cruz, Soler Santos, Angel Cacnio, Remy Boquiren, Ferdie Cacnio, Sheila Tiangco, Buds Convocar, Daisy Carlos, Elmer Torio, Andy Urag, Joey Ibay, Honey Banal, Andy Pernia, Chi Cruz, Roel Obemio, Claude Tayag, and many more will be raffled off.

Tickets range from P20,000 to P40,000 and are limited to the number of available artworks. Each ticket assures the buyer of an art piece usually worth more than the ticket cost.  As an added treat, there will be an arts and crafts exhibit on the same day.

The UPDAA is calling all UPCD alumni to contact the college or their classmates for updates for the centennial homecoming. For inquiries, call Tess at 890-2824 or e-mail secretariat@updaa.org.
