Every Day Is Happy Day

A sip of Happy Day 100% fruit juice is enough to make the day much brighter! A school tour program, “Every Day Is a Happy Day”, aims to educate students and the faculty about the many benefits of drinking 100% fruit juice.

In an effort to support the Healthy Beverages Options Act 4021 of the Philippines, Happy Day’s “I Love Healthy Juices” signature campaign aims to collect 5,000 signatures from 10 schools all over Greater Metro Manila and nearby provinces. To date, 1,452 signatures have already been collected.

House Bill 4021 or Healthy Beverage Options Act insists on the need for the regulation of the availability of beverages to children in schools. The proposed statute provides that all schools shall educate the students in the effects of the consumption of unhealthy food and drinks, including sugar, in the body. HB 4021 seeks that softdrinks, drinks containing caffeine and additional sweeteners, and fruit-based drinks with less than 50% real fruit juice be not provided or sold in schools, while encouraging the selling or providing of water, fruit juice with at least 50% real fruit juice content, low- or –fat-free milk and calcium-fortified milk.

The “Every Day Is a Happy Day” program which started in July has gone to Create and Learning Paths School, Multiple Intelligence International School, Miriam College - Lower School, Makati Hope Christian School, and De La Salle Zobel. Today, the students of Immaculate Heart of Mary College will be witness to an entertaining afternoon with lots of information about 100% fruit juices.

An audio visual presentation will highlight the process of creating fruit juices, from harvesting the fruits to packing. A talk on the different types of juices and its health benefits will be facilitated and then, MAD Science Philippines, the country’s premier provider of dynamic science through educational entertainment, will showcase several experiments to highlight the effect of drinking carbonated drinks or soda to the body. After the show, everyone gets to try the Happy Day juice variants.

With the growing awareness for health and wellness, consumers have become savvier, preferring food and beverage options that promote good health, are made with less preservative, and are culled from nature’s bounties. Happy Day provides the perfect healthy alternative to calorie-laden carbonated drinks and artificially-flavored fruit juices.

Each liter of Happy Day 100% Orange contains the juice of about 2.5 kilos of sun-ripened oranges. This not only guarantees healthy highlights of drinking, but it also covers the daily requirement of vitamin C with one glass. Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins for its ability to transport “oxygen and hydrogen”. It functions as a catcher of free radicals, improves the absorption of iron in the intestines, and protects against cancer, arteriosclerosis and heart attack, among others. Aside from Vitamin C, B-vitamins, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorous, beta-carotene, cell defense substances, bioflavonoids, and selenium are found in every glass of Happy Day.

Choose among these six Happy Day 1L variants: Orange, Apple, Cranberry, Multivitamin, Orange Juice Bits, and Tomato. Kids will surely enjoy Happy Day 200ml in Apple and Orange flavors.

How to Manage Your Time

Pareto's Principle says that 80 percent of your accomplishments are the result of only 20 percent of your efforts. This explains how important time is in our lives. If you know how to master and control time, you can work less and achieve more.

Personal time management skills can help you get ahead in life. By knowing what to prioritize, you can function well regardless of the pressures you’re facing. To help you do more with your time, here are some practical tips to consider:
Photo grab from Google

Photo grab from Google

Plan ahead. Know what you want to accomplish and make sure you do it. Learn how to quickly switch between tasks without wasting valuable time. If you know what to do, you can certainly accomplish more.

Create a reasonable routine and stick to it. You don’t have to work like a horse to get things done if time is on your side. Minimize your workload and stress by following a routine. This will tell you what to do next. Learn to adjust your own behavior and performance to your daily routine to get things done quickly.

Take longer breaks. That’s right! You can have longer breaks if you work for long periods of time and perfect your routine. Rewarding yourself this way minimizes the time needed to refocus following a short break.

Avoid interruptions. Don’t entertain unexpected guests, gossip or take calls while working. These waste time and you won’t accomplish much. Remember that it’s difficult to get back to work after being interrupted. So stay focused and keep your eye on your schedule.

Don’t spend the whole day reading. Research takes time and can eat up your schedule. While reading is essential, learn to balance your time so you can do other things.

Zen Institute - Something That Is Out of The Ordinary

It's rainy Thursday (September 25, 2014) when the Zen Institute call out for "Bloggers Party." My husband and I came early, so we were able to avail the Diamond Peel service. Also I was able to bag 1 session of Colonics treatment. This was given away in 10 lucky bloggers.

The clinic has it's calming effect like other spa. It has relaxing setting while medical procedures are done by licensed doctors, reputable Dr. Mary Jane "MJ" Torres and wellness consultants. Treatments are mostly non-surgical and non-invasive, which how Zen is known for- in the industry and the market.

One of Zen Institute popular program is Weight Management.

To help you fell and look better and achieve a healthier body, you must know how to manage your weight. Managing your weight is good for your overall health and well being. At Zen Institute, a particular science-based protocol is strictly in place. No short-cuts, no fast remedies. Clients are provided with individualized protocols and maintenance programs, overseen by doctors and wellness consultants.

Zen’s Weight Management programs are scientifically-proven to be safe and effective. Take for example- Colonics and IV Micro Nutrition.

Colon Hydrotherapy aka Colonics is a way to clean the colon apart from the non-surgical way of flushing toxins out of the body.

Guided by the philosophy that holistic health is a harmonious combination of medical science, creativity and aesthetic sense, The Zen Institute employs a process that is done with the use of the top of the line hydrotherapy machine and licensed doctors. The therapy usually lasts from 50 up to 60 minutes. On a long term basis, Colonics, can reach an even deeper layer of body/mind connections, emotional/mental baggage and energetic re-patterning.

Part of the program is a coffee cocktail to enhance faster metabolism and improve better absorption of the nutrients needed by the body. Colonics should be employed at least four times a year to facilitate the accumulation of the toxins in the body, however, it can be done weekly specially by those who don’t eat much vegetables, drink alcohol a lot, and have unhealthy diet and lifestyle. A patient who has undergone colonics should maintain a good and healthy diet as this encourages the growth of good bacteria in the body.

At a certain age, people start to feel that their liver is taking too much  from all the drugs they use. This is what leads many to consider IV Micronutrition.

Intravenuous (IV) Micronutrition is a procedure that delivers micronutrients straight to the veins—no need to pass through the gastrointestinal system and liver enzymes. Hence, it spares the liver and gastrointestinal tract from further exposure to drugs. And nothing is lost in the process; all the nutrients in the right amounts get absorbed directly and become ready for the body to use.

At the Zen Institute, they offer four types of IV micronutrients: Immune Booster (consists of vitamin B-complex and thymus extract , which work together to improve T-cells), Revitalize (Vitamin B-complex, electrolytes, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids), Rejuvenate (vitamin B-complex, electrolytes, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids to enhance cell regeneration from within), and Weight Management (amino acids, L-carnatine, electrolytes, and vitamin C, to speed up metabolism and fat mobilization).

Overall, weight management, to make it effective, safe and precise, should observe a strict science-based protocol, in a holistic approach. And only a true, medical spa, can professionally give you the results you aim for.

The Zen Institute is located at 69 Scout Rallos St., Tomas Morato, Quezon City (02-441-1712/02-412-2528); Ground Floor, Bonifacio Technology Center, 31st St., Corner 2nd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (02-856-2027); and at the St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, Maharlika Highway, Bgy. 2, Sto.Tomas, Batangas (+43-778-4811).

Taking Care Your Skin - Drink Premium HyC 150

It’s a sad fact but many people have no time to consult a dermatologist either because they’re too busy or don’t have the money to pay for the latter’s services. If you’re one of those people who fall under this category, don’t waste time worrying. Taking care of your skin is easy.If you have no underlying skin problem, here’s a quick guide to looking beautiful:

Sunlight is the skin’s No. 1 enemy since it contributes to wrinkles, freckles, age spots, rough, dry skin and skin cancer. To retain your youthful features and avoid skin cancer, be like a vampire and stay away from the sun. Stay inside between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when the sun's rays are strongest. If you can’t help but go out at those times, arm yourself with some serious sun protectors like an umbrella, a wide-brimmed hat, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants.

If you have the money, invest in cool and comfortable sun-protective clothing. These clothes are designed to  block the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Another important weapon in the war against sunlight is a good sunscreen. Don’t be stingy and apply this liberally to exposed areas of the skin 30 minutes before you go outside. After swimming or heavy perspiration, reapply sunscreen every two hours for added protection.

Time and time again, we've heard that smoking is bad because it can give you cancer. Another reason not to smoke is because it can also make you look ugly. Smoking ages the skin and makes you look older than you really are. It causes wrinkles since it narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin. As a result, there is decreased blood flow and the skin doesn't get the oxygen and nutrients it needs to stay young.

To add insult to injury, smoking also destroys collagen and elastin that contribute to skin strength and elasticity.  So quit now before you make a mess of yourself.

Instead of spending your money buying cigarettes, invest for a nutrients that will help you more energetic and driven with a constant flow of youthfulness. You can find this in Premium HyC 150 – a healthy drink, also known as Japan’s best-kept longevity secret.

Premium HyC 150 is unique in the health market because it is the only supplement drink that has the optimal combination of active anti-aging ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and Ubiquinol and Pearl Coix Extract Powder. “The company aims to provide health-conscious people and those with special nutritional needs with high quality, reasonably-priced and innovative nutritional products and cosmetics worldwide.” according to Mr. Nobutsuna Sasaki, President and Chief Executive officer of Fine Japan Co. Ltd. and President of Hong Kong Fine Trading Com. Ltd. Also president in other Fine Company subsidiaries such as Vietnam and China.

In the Philippines Fine Nutrition Trading International, established in 2009 headed by Ms. Imelda M. Tesalona, licensed Pharmacist and visionary entrepreneur is the local affiliate of Fine Japan Co. Ltd.

Drink Premium HyC150 once a day.  Mix one sachet daily with your favorite beverage hot or cold and let it work from within. For best result mix it in a lukewarm or cold water because it contains vitamin C. Vitamin C is not stable in hot water. Drink it at night before you sleep. See and feel its effects on you in one to two weeks by starting to look young, feel young, and move young.

Premium HyC 150 is available at Watsons stores nationwide.

Advantages of Working from Home

Being a Mom, working at home has a great advantages. Let me share to you why working at home is a good thing. Here’s a summary of those benefits:

First, you relieve yourself of the burden of commuting. This means you won’t waste time traveling, getting up early in the morning to catch the bus, getting bitten by the neighbor’s dog while crossing the street,   bending your body like a contortionist to fit into the jam-packed MRT/LRT, waiting for the heavy traffic to subside or spend half a day finding a good parking space.

Keep in mind that the average commuting time to work is about 30 to 45 minutes. Sometimes this can take 90 minutes or longer if Godzilla is in the middle of the road or there’s a huge crater from a meteor that fell to earth. Multiply that number by two to get back home and you’ll discover that you have spent about 10 percent of your day just to get to the office. If you work at home, you save time, can sleep longer in the morning, and can attend to other activities in the evening. Like spending more time with your family just like us.
Breakfast at Makan-Makan Hotel H2o
Since you do away with commuting if you work at home, you save money on transportation. You save on parking fees, gas, vehicle maintenance, bus and MRT/LRT fees, and insurance expenses to name a few. In fact, you may not even need a car at all. In effect, you save more from your monthly pay. Simply not taking the bus or MRT/LRt will slash 10%-20% per month from your transportation allowance. You also make the world a better place since you don’t contribute to pollution.

Another benefit of working at home is you save money on lunches and shopping. Food expenses can eat up a big chunk of your budget when you’re working in the office. Since it’s not always feasible to bring a packed lunch everyday, your next recourse is to eat out and that’s when you get robbed everyday! To make matters worse, after eating outside, you look around and visit stores and boutiques during breaks. This means you’re more likely to spend money on impulse buying - something that won’t happen if you’re working from home.

From the micro-apartments of Manhattan to exquisite tiny rowhouses in Savannah, we celebrate the ingenuity of young homeowners who are living the small space lifestyle. In each episode our crew undertakes a different design project, creating mini-dream homes for real homeowners looking to step onto the property ladder or downsize their lifestyle. This show is not just about building new homes, but exploring what other people have done with their small spaces.

We will cast a town or city - from Buffalo to Baltimore - that is on the verge of becoming "the next big thing." Each couple will be given one rowhouse to renovate over the course of our series. While living inside these dilapidated homes (which we'll capture "Big Brother" style) our couple will use a designated budget to re-do key rooms and spaces in each self-contained episode. The final goal is to increase the overall value of the home by as much as they can.

New Partners For NetSuite Philippines

NetSuite, the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce  software suites, announced that Kaisa Consulting and Questronix Corporation, two leading IT strategy and implementation consultancies in greater Manila, have joined the NetSuite Solution Provider program.
James Dantow(4th from left), NetSuite VP for Worldwide support and GM for PH and Jan Pabellon (5th from left),  NetSuite Principal Product Manager poses with Kaisa Consulting and Questronix Corporation represntatives.
The partnership with NetSuite allows these two partners, for the first time, to modernize their existing product portfolios including Oracle, SAP, Microsoft and IBM by adding NetSuite’s cloud-based business management suite. With NetSuite, both Questronix Corporation and Kaisa Consulting are able to meet the growing demand for a comprehensive suite of cloud-based solutions spanning ERP, CRM and ecommerce that is architected specifically for the cloud versus antiquated systems based on client-server technology that lack flexibility, create a hairball of integration challenges, and require ongoing maintenance, a huge IT staff and on-going IT costs.
Big Chill Chief Operating Consultant Rusty Lemon with James Datow and Jan Pabellon, both NetSuite executive
Another company joins NetSuite is Big Chill, a fast-growing food and beverage retailer with 60 shops in the greater Manila area, has deployed NetSuite OneWorld to support the company’s growth and expansion plans. The retail chain is relying on NetSuite OneWorld to better manage its mission-critical business processes, including financials, inventory management, fixed asset management, order management, procure-to-pay and warehousing – all without a huge IT staff and within one unified business management solution. Big Chill expects this modernization effort to give them the business agility, visibility, flexibility and scalability that cannot be found in its previous on-premise system to support its business growth and expansion.

“We feel like we’re upgrading from an archaic on-premise solution into a modern, luxury suite with NetSuite. The reporting flexibility and ability to add modules to the product as we expand are tremendous,” said Rusty Lemon, Chief Operating Consultant at Big Chill.
NetSuite Executives with Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines Executives.

Also Coca-Cola Foundation also joins NetSuite. It is founded since 1987 and helped improve access to education, clean water and economic opportunity to hundreds of thousands of Filipinos. Upgrading to NetSuite, Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines is able to run its core business processes – all within one integrated software system and without a dedicated IT staff. As a result the nonprofit organization has gained process automation, and real-time visibility into critical business metrics not possible with its previous software to better fulfill its mission of socioeconomic improvement.

“NetSuite is helping us operate more efficiently so that we can put our time and energy into making a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged Filipinos,” said Cecilia Alcantara, President at Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines. “Using NetSuite, we are able to significantly preserve resources for our projects, and the new software gives us the ability to clearly present the value of our work and the donations we receive to our stakeholders.”

Lastly Far Eastern University (FEU), with 28,000 students on campuses in Manila and Makati City, Philippines, also implemented NetSuite OneWorld to support its mission-critical financial processes, including accounting, inventory management, fixed assets and purchasing. By replacing an outdated on-premise application for general ledger and accounts payable and numerous excel sheets for reporting with NetSuite OneWorld, FEU (www.feu.edu.ph) is  realizing the benefits of faster, more efficient financials based on real-time data, anywhere, anytime access to critical business information, and gaining greater control and visibility, building a foundation for growth.

Before NetSuite OneWorld, FEU struggled with its on-premise application that provided limited visibility into critical information. After examining competing applications, FEU selected NetSuite OneWorld because of the lower cost, greater functionality and its rich customization capabilities.

Going live on NetSuite OneWorld in April 2012, with an implementation by Softype, a global NetSuite Solution Provider, FEU has since taken advantage of the features and benefits NetSuite OneWorld has brought:
•           Flexible reporting capabilities to better explore and understand key data.
•           Procure-to-pay functionality as part of its standard financials package.
•           Cut monthly financial close times significantly, from 16 days to 5 days.
•           Gain access to real-time financial data on demand, compared to the  oncea-month reports it was able to generate with its previous solutions.
•           Streamline tax reporting to meet the requirements of the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
•           Greatly improve purchasing efficiency and visibility with almost 700 suppliers, replacing what had been manual paper-based purchase orders, check-writing and other processes.

“The improved efficiency of financial reporting is one of the major benefits we’ve realized with NetSuite OneWorld,” said Juan Miguel Montinola, CFO at FEU. “NetSuite gives us access to vital data anytime and anywhere, that’s been invaluable in transforming the finance and accounting teams from mostly consolidating numbers to now properly analyzing them”.

Today, more than 20,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission-critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise-class cloud ERP suites for divisions of large enterprises and mid-sized organizations seeking to upgrade their antiquated client/server ERP systems. NetSuite excels at streamlining business operations, as demonstrated by a recent Gartner study naming NetSuite as the fastest growing top 10 financial management systems vendor in the world. NetSuite continues its success in delivering the best cloud ERP/financial suites to businesses around the world, enabling them to lower IT costs significantly while increasing productivity, as the global adoption of the cloud accelerates.
